AfterCare Residential program participant Kionte was chosen as a panelist on gOD-Talk: A Black Millennials and Faith Conversation Series, a groundbreaking seven-city conversation series spearheaded by the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture Center for the Study of African American Religious Life in association with Pew Research Center.
This conversation series features leading millennials voices—activists, entertainers, entrepreneurs, athletes, academicians, religious leaders, politicians, etc.— and seeks to amplify these voices by creating a space for their experiences to be shared and documented.
These curated conversations seek to not only give voice to this often-misunderstood demographic but also to create an opportunity for religious organizations and leaders, researchers, and engaged citizens to understand better the dynamic ways Black millennials engage with religion.
