The Board’s signature annual fundraiser, Have Mercy! was held at Theater on the Lake on Friday May 12 and featured dancing, cocktails, games, and entertainment, all in a beautiful lakefront setting.
Our guests generously gave to support our Home through a pledge and a silent auction and had chances to win a Mexican beach resort vacation. Music by DJ Spoiled Milk and musicians Overhead Ben & the Wingmen had attendees singing along and hitting the dance floor. We were also thrilled to have ABC7 Chicago meteorologist Greg Dutra join us as the emcee of the event. Dutra also conducted our pledge, which met its goal!
An annual highlight of the is the presentation of the Spirit of Mercy Award, given this year to Associate Board member Jill Wenniger Logli. This honor is bestowed upon a member who has been on the board for more than one year and has shown active participation and dedication to Mercy Home through volunteering and fundraising. Congratulations to Jill!
Mercy Home’s Associate Board promotes the mission of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls by engaging young professionals through social, volunteer, and fundraising activities. In addition to Have Mercy!, they host the March for Kids Kickoff at Butch McGuire’s, and an annual social night each fall called Cheers for Mercy.
Thank you again to everyone who made this year’s Have Mercy! such a wonderful evening!
